Clement - Rhum Vieux Agricole V.S.O.P.
This agricole from Martinique is a little more complex than others I’ve tasted. That may come from a slightly more involved distilling and ageing process - taking one year in unused oak before being transferred to re-charred bourbon barrels for a further 3 years of finishing.
I liked the fresh nuttiness to start, followed by a slightly heavier and sweeter body than you might expect from an agricole.
Very nice and in an accessible price range.
